But there is no denying that one full-size luxury car stands head and shoulders above its colleagues in terms of market place success. That car, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, sold more often in Canada in 2014 than its next two best-selling rivals combined. 

2014 was the best Canadian sales year for the S-Class (and its CL-Class coupe offshoot which is once again the S-Class) since 2008. Year-over-year volume jumped 134%.

Sales data for brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Rolls-Royce etc. are unfortunately not made available in Canada. Tesla doesnt release a monthly Model S sales report, either. ANDC estimates for Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce were 158, 209, 112, and 81, respectively, in 2014. Tesla sold 724 cars in the first 11 months of 2014. Total Maserati volume is reported, but not by specific models. GCBC shows the Cadillac XTS, Hyundai Equus, and Kia K900 with midsize luxury cars not because of their size, but because the price points are much more directly comparable.

Here first image  Leaked sketches Audi e-tron Spyder | 2012 Super car.There�s been no word on the powerplant details at this stage, reports say that it will be an electric vehicle of some description, most likely matching the drivetrain of the Audi e-Tron Concept (coupe) that debuted at the Detroit Show earlier this year.

This is might be the first sketches of the oft-rumored Audi e-Tron Spyder thats supposedly set to debut at the Paris Motor Show. As youd expect, this convertible creature appears to be based on the design of the e-Tron Concept shown at the Detroit Auto Show this year, not the original concept shown in Frankfurt. Still, no word on the powerplant involved, but if it is headed for production expect a run of 1,000 units in 2012. see the gallery below

The car start to sell Public in 9 april 2009. let see inside the car.First, what should I call the car? It�s not a hatchback since there is no door to open at the rear end. It should be called a �Nano�, a new term for this segment. And because of no rear door, the luggage in the boot can only be accessed from the rear seat. When I got into the car, my first impression was the space inside the car, much more than its closes rival, M 800. The head room too is quite good and in fact is more than Santro xing, the tallest small car. Since there is no engine in front, the leg room was pretty good for the front passenger. The dashboard console was at the center and has a Speedometer, an odometer besides turn indicators and a few Engine lights.

BMW USA sold 3.4 copies of the 3-Series and 4-Series in October 2014 for every Volvo. Yes, before other BMWs are even taken into account - including the 5-Series which also outsold the whole Volvo brand - the 3-Series and its 4-Series offshoot tell us something about Volvos lackluster U.S. volume.

Weve delved into Volvos doldrums before, most recently over at TTAC, where we discussed the importance of the new, second-gen XC90. But now Volvos showing us its true modern colours, having just displayed images of the upcoming V60 Cross Country. Surely it will eventually do more than just act as a V60 addendum by completely replacing that car in North America, just as the XC70 kicked the V70 to the curb.

The V60 looks a treat, and the V60s cladding and ride height give it that Subaru Outback flare Americans have taken to with such fervour. But we are still discussing a wagon thats dimensionally quite hatchback-like, a car which has not proven successful at winning converts in North America despite GCBCs frank approval.

Only 326 V60s were sold in the United States in October 2014, its lowest-volume month since the car arrived in January of this year. Incidentally, the S60s 1127-unit October performance was its lowest-volume U.S. sales month since January 2011 when the current generation of S60 was just getting underway. 

Whether you blame pricing or image or dealer locations or dealer inventory, its abundantly obvious that Volvo cars are increasingly rare. Even if the new XC90 saves the brand in North America, its hard to believe the cars will become suddenly popular. Unless, of course, the V60 Cross Country turns the V60 into a "wagon" SUV pretenders can tolerate.

Not surprisingly, the Dodge Challenger (recently refreshed) and Ford Mustang (all-new for 2015) reported big year-over-year Canadian sales improvements in January 2015.

Also not surprising, those big YOY improvements didnt translate to lofty numbers, as Canadians typically steer away from rear-wheel-drive, sporting car purchases in the middle of winter.

But BMW managed to sell 222 copies of their 4-Series last month, double the figure they put up one year earlier. The difference? BMW sells a four-door version of the 4-Series now (no, not the 3-Series, but the 4-Series Gran Coupe) and offers all-wheel-drive across much of the range.

As for the Mustang, a V6-engined version of which GCBC is testing this week, expect to see a massive increase in April, May, and June. That second-quarter accounted for 42% of all Canadian Mustang volume in 2014.
